Cllr Karen Garrido, Leader of the Opposition on Salford City Council, has been adopted as the Conservative candidate for the forthcoming election for Mayor of Salford at a General Meeting of Salford Conservative members at Patricroft Conservative Club.

Labour Vote To Impose A580 Traffic Chaos

Labour Councillors on the Planning Panel have voted to ignore the concerns of local residents and implement the planned lane reduction on the A580 East Lancashire Road. Local residents are set to face an increase in rat-running and congestion as a result of the changes.

A580 Bus Lane At Planning Committee

Following a huge response from members of the public objecting to proposals to introduce a traffic order that would reduce sections of the A580 East Lancashire Road by a lane to accomodate the Leigh Misguided Busway, a meeting of the Council Planning Committee will be held. The meeting will be at the Salford Civic Centre Chorley Road Swinton on the 16 Feb at 9.30am. Please come along and show the strength of local feeling.
