A by-election message from Anne Broomhead

Dear Neighbour,

On Tuesday 7th January, local residents here in Swinton have the opportunity to choose a new Councillor. If you usually vote by post, you will shortly receive your ballot paper, or you may have it already.

Like most residents, I’m disappointed that this by-election is being held at this time of year, and I’m extremely grateful to you for taking the time to read this letter. I didn’t agree with others who decided to call the election, as it could easily have waited until February or March.

Nonetheless, there is a clear choice at this election. It is a great honour to have my name on the ballot paper and give residents the opportunity to vote for me as your Conservative candidate, and it would be an even greater honour to represent you as your new local Councillor.

If elected, I will be a local champion, taking action on the local environment, highways and anti-social behaviour, and supporting local shops and businesses. I will be a strong local voice for Swinton, not the Labour Mayor’s mouthpiece. It would be a tremendous honour to have your support.

Finally, and most importantly, let me wish you a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for the new year ahead.

Kindest regards,

Anne Broomhead
Your Conservative Candidate for Swinton South

PS - don’t forget, if you want to get in touch with me, please don’t hesitate to do so!
