Michael Winstanley has been selected by Greater Manchester Conservatives to be their Police & Crime Commissioner Candidate (PCC) in the Election on 15th November.
The role of PCC brings democratic accountability to the area of Police and Crime. Commenting following his selection, Michael said:
“As someone who is born and bred in Greater Manchester I care passionately and the people that make up our community. As Commissioner my main priority will be to cut crime across Greater Manchester. I am on the side of the victim and I want their needs to be put first rather than the criminals who make people’s lives a misery."
"I want our police officers to spend more time on the streets catching criminals and preventing crime not meeting endless targets and completing paperwork. Crime is falling in Greater Manchester and I want it to fall further. I want Greater Manchester to be a place where criminals fear and residents feel safe."
