Cllr Iain Lindley, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Worsley & Eccles South, has welcomed news that Broadoak Primary School will receive funding to improve its school buildings - part of an additional £367 million that the Government has allocated from the Condition Improvement Fund for investment in buildings at over one thousand schools across the country.
Investment in schools is key to the Conservative long-term plan for education - every child should have a good-quality place in a local school. As part of this, £18 billion has been made available for investment in schools in England over this Parliament - more than double the amount Labour spent in its first two terms combined.
"The new building at Mesne Lea Primary School is now well on the way to completion, and it is great to see another local primary school benefit from Government investment. I know that the funded improvements at Broadoak Primary will make a big positive difference for staff and children at the school"
